We impact our communities through service projects and initiatives that we develop based on what we are passionate about. We serve our time in collaboration with and support of other organizations and institutions that endorse what we believe in, including mission work, charity, health promotion, education, mentoring, and women's empowerment. We mentor young girls to be positive role models in their communities and to embody our core values. We support those who support concepts and ideas that we believe in. We empower each other and other daughters of Anacaona to unlock their full potential as women through friendship and united servanthood. We shine in darkness and we help to expose each other's light.
What We Do
The Daughters of Anacaona (DOA) Foundation | Fondasyon Pitit Anacaona aims to cultivate a sisterhood of women who heal, grow, lead, and give forward.
Inspired by the legacy of Anacaona, queen, poet, leader, and symbol of courage and cultural pride—we create spaces where women can reconnect with who they are, heal from what they have carried, develop personally and professionally, and use their strength in service to others.
Through sisterhood, cultural connection, mentorship, wellness, leadership development, and community service, we help women move beyond simply overcoming adversity toward living whole, purposeful, and joyful lives.
Who WE ARE

We are women of different ages, cultures, professions, experiences, and walks of life, connected by a shared belief that what we have survived does not define the limits of what we can become.
Our name honors Anacaona, Taíno queen of Ayiti/Hispaniola, whose legacy represents leadership, courage, creativity, cultural preservation, and resilience.
We honor that legacy not simply by remembering Anacaona, but by living forward the qualities she represents.
We believe healing and joy can coexist. We believe strength should be shared. We believe women flourish when surrounded by women committed to seeing them flourish. And we believe every woman carries something worthy of passing forward.
Together, we form a living mosaic, a sisterhood of women whose individual stories, cultures, gifts, scars, victories, and dreams become something more powerful when woven together.
